NSE India filings as data: announcements, XBRL results and corporate actions
The India NSE Filings scraper turns the National Stock Exchange of India's public filing feeds into clean, structured rows: corporate announcements with the filed PDF, quarterly results with official XBRL figures (revenue, profit, EPS), dividends, splits and bonus issues, and NSE's equity list with ISINs. It reads NSE's own public JSON endpoints and archive files on the default Apify Proxy — no login, no cookies, no API key.
Who it's for
KYC and due-diligence analysts, equity research, compliance monitoring and B2B intelligence on Indian listed companies. Typical jobs:
- Counterparty due diligence — a listed counterparty's quarterly revenue, profit and EPS with the XBRL files, plus its auditor changes, resignations and credit-rating updates with the filed PDFs.
- Event monitoring — announcements from the last 24 hours matching a keyword such as “resignation” or “credit rating”, on a daily schedule, feeding a Slack or e-mail alert.
- Dividend and corporate-action calendar — ex-dates, record dates, amount per share, bonus and rights ratios; a custom range that ends in the future lists upcoming ex-dates.
- Fundamentals from the filings — a quarterly P&L time series straight from the source, for screening, research and model features.
- Master data — NSE symbol to ISIN and listing date, to enrich or de-duplicate your own company lists.
Use something else for BSE-only companies (BSE is not covered), for live prices or trades (not included — NSE licenses market data separately), or for unlisted companies. For those, the Indian company data guide covers the MCA registry — CIN, directors and financials.
Four NSE feeds in one scraper
| Mode | What a row holds |
|---|---|
announcements | NSE's category (for example Credit Rating, Change in Auditors, Outcome of Board Meeting), the disclosure text, IST timestamps, the industry where NSE gives it, and the filed document with its size |
financial_results | Standalone or consolidated, audited flag, original or revised, filing time; with includeXbrl, revenue, total income, expenses, profit before and after tax, EPS and paid-up capital from the XBRL file, plus total assets and equity on March and September filings |
corporate_actions | Purpose (dividend, interim dividend, split, bonus, rights, buyback …), ex-date, record date, cash per share and bonus or rights ratios |
equity_list | Every company on NSE's main-board equity list — 2,568 on 10 September 2026 — with ISIN, series, listing date, face value, paid-up value and market lot |
Every row also carries the NSE symbol, company name, ISIN, where the ISIN came from, a link to the company's NSE quote page, the NSE endpoint the row came from and a timestamp. You can narrow any feed by symbols, a date preset or custom range, a keyword and a row limit.
Details that save cleanup
- Current ISINs. NSE's filing feeds still carry a pre-split ISIN for about one company in five. The scraper replaces it with the current ISIN from NSE's official equity list, and
isinSourceon every row says where the ISIN came from. - Bank-aware revenue. Banks report interest earned instead of revenue from operations;
revenueTagtells you which XBRL element fedrevenue. - Money in four fields. Each figure comes as the INR number, its currency, a formatted value (₹482.11B) and an exact one (₹482,110,000,000).
- Clean values. ISO dates, timestamps with an explicit
+05:30offset,nullfor anything NSE does not publish, HTML entities decoded. - No silent failures. An unknown symbol returns an error row with a “Did you mean …” hint; an empty, blocked, degraded or invalid run explains itself in a
source_reportrow.
Input example
Quarterly results with XBRL figures for three companies since January 2025:
{
"mode": "financial_results",
"symbols": ["INFY", "TCS", "HDFCBANK"],
"includeXbrl": true,
"datePreset": "custom",
"dateFrom": "2025-01-01"
}
Measured on 10 September 2026: 42 filings, 42 of 42 XBRL files parsed, in 74 s. A real result row from that day, trimmed:
{
"recordType": "financial_result",
"filingSource": "nse-integrated-filing",
"symbol": "INFY",
"companyName": "Infosys Limited",
"periodStart": "2026-04-01",
"periodEnd": "2026-06-30",
"consolidated": true,
"auditedFlag": true,
"filingStatus": "original",
"xbrlStatus": "parsed",
"revenueTag": "RevenueFromOperations",
"revenue": 482110000000,
"revenueFormatted": "₹482.11B",
"netProfit": 77750000000,
"epsBasic": 19.19,
"epsDiluted": 19.17
}
₹482.11B is ₹48,211 crore. Total assets and equity are null on this first-quarter filing because it carries no balance sheet.
Measured fill rates and volume
Test runs of 10 September 2026; a value NSE does not publish stays null and is never estimated:
| Mode · fields | Filled | Measured on |
|---|---|---|
| Announcements · symbol, company, ISIN, subject, description, time | 100% | 200 newest rows of 7 days + 577 “dividend” rows of 30 days |
| Announcements · attached document | 94.5% | 200 newest rows — text-only disclosures have none |
| Announcements · industry | 39% / 36% | The same two samples — NSE fills it for some companies only |
| Results · revenue, total income, PBT, tax, net profit, EPS, paid-up capital | 100% | 42 filings of INFY, TCS and HDFC Bank since January 2025 |
| Corporate actions · identity, purpose, subject, ex-date, record date, face value | 100% | 359 actions with an ex-date in the last 30 days |
| Equity list · all fields | 100% | 2,568 companies |
NSE carried 4,640 announcements in the 7 days to 10 September 2026 and 19,929 in the 30 days to that date — between 583 and 877 a day on full weekdays from 1 to 9 September. A market-wide announcements window is a single request however many rows it holds, and ranges longer than 31 days are split into monthly windows. With default settings, 30 days of corporate actions (359 rows) took 11 s and the full equity list 5 s; the prefilled input of 20 announcements took 9 s on 28 September 2026.
Honest limits
- NSE only. BSE is not covered, because its site refuses non-browser access.
- No market data. Live prices, trades and indices are not included; NSE licenses them separately.
- Market-wide results are short. NSE's integrated-filing list answers a market-wide query with its latest 20 filings only. Pass
symbolsto get each company's complete history. - Two feeds for results. NSE moved to SEBI's integrated filing with the quarter ended 31 March 2025. Later quarters come from the integrated feed, earlier ones from the older results feed, and both are merged per company.
- Balance-sheet fields are partial. Total assets and equity appear on March and September filings only, and bank filings have no equity or total-expenses element.
- NSE can refuse an IP. In a test on 10 September 2026, NSE accepted the automatic Apify proxy pool 10 times out of 10 but residential IPs only 5 out of 10, so keep the default. If a run reports “NSE blocked this IP”, start it again; rows collected before the refusal stay in the dataset.
- Terms and personal data. NSE's website terms restrict systematic automated data collection, so you are responsible for how you use the data and for your own compliance. Disclosures can contain personal data, such as a director's name, which the GDPR, India's DPDP Act and similar laws protect. The scraper is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by NSE, BSE or SEBI.
Pricing
Pay per event: one event per delivered data row — an announcement, a result, a corporate action or a company. Error rows and the source_report summary row do not fire it, and the XBRL download is included in the result row. Current prices are on the actor's Pricing tab.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an NSE account, login or API key?
No. The scraper reads NSE's public JSON endpoints and archive files, with no login, cookies or key.
Which exchange is covered?
NSE only. BSE is not covered, because its site refuses non-browser access, but many large Indian companies are listed on both.
Why are there two rows per quarter for a company?
Companies file standalone and consolidated results separately. The consolidated field tells them apart.
What units are the figures in?
Absolute INR as filed: ₹482,110,000,000 is ₹48,211 crore. revenue is revenue from operations for companies and interest earned for banks, and revenueTag says which.
Can I search by company name?
Use the NSE symbol. If you type a name, the error row suggests the symbol (INFOSYS gets “Did you mean INFY (Infosys Limited)?”), and the equity_list mode with a keyword finds it too.
Try it: the prefilled input returns the 20 newest announcements of the last 7 days; switch the mode to results or corporate actions and add your symbols.
