Instagram post and reel details from a link: likes, views and a follower-based engagement rate
The Instagram Post & Reel Details Scraper turns a list of post and reel addresses into one rich row each: likes, comment count, exact publish time, caption with hashtags and mentions, the kind, carousel parts, tagged accounts, co-authors, location and topics, and the owner's exact follower count with an engagement rate. For reels it gives two counters, honestly — the Reels-tab play count and the embed-page view count (different numbers). No login, no cookies, no account.
Who it's for
- Campaign reporters answering "what did these 300 posts do?" with an engagement rate in one table.
- Analysts tracking the same posts day by day for a performance timeline.
- Reel benchmarkers comparing true plays against embed views across reels.
- Anyone reading a post's full content from a known list of links.

Input
| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
postUrls | One per line: a post/reel URL, short code or numeric id; duplicates delivered once |
includeVideoStats | Add videoViewCount, owner followers and engagement rate (default on; one embed request per video) |
includeReelPlays | Add playCount for reels from the owner's Reels tab (default on) |
maxPosts | Stop after this many rows |
{ "postUrls": ["https://www.instagram.com/p/DeNRLCCF4kk/", "https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdB9sMlAsb8/"] }

Honest limits
- No share/save/repost counts, and no comment texts (count only) — not in what a signed-out visitor gets.
- No play count below tile 36 of the owner's Reels tab →
playCount: null, while likes, comments and the embed view count still come. - Nothing behind the login — private or signed-in-only posts, stories and follower lists come as a free status row; share links (
instagram.com/share/…) must be opened first. - No media files (addresses are temporary) and no only-new memory — every run delivers every post with fresh numbers, which is how you track movement.
Pricing
Pay per result: one post-details event per delivered row. Status rows, second addresses of the same post, and a run that could not start are free. Current prices are on the actor's Pricing tab on Apify.
Measure a list of posts: likes, comments, exact time, reel plays and views, and a follower-based engagement rate — in one table. Exportable to JSON, CSV or Excel.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Instagram login or cookies?
No — only what a signed-out visitor sees. No login, no cookies, nothing from your own account.
What is the difference between playCount and videoViewCount?
Two different counters: the Reels-tab play figure and the embed page's view count. Plays ran 2.2 to 7.7 times the views in our measurements, so the Actor gives both and never reports one as the other.
Why is playCount sometimes null?
It is only available while a reel is among the first 36 tiles of its owner's Reels tab; older reels show null, while likes, comments and the embed view count still come.
How is the engagement rate computed?
(likes + comments) ÷ the owner's exact follower count. ownerFollowersSource says whether that came from the embed page or the profile.
What can't it do?
No share/save/repost counts, no comment texts (count only), nothing behind the login (private or signed-in-only posts, stories, follower lists), and no media downloads — display and video URLs are temporary addresses.
Using the data lawfully
Rows describe public posts but can hold personal data (owner name/id, tagged accounts, co-authors, location); you decide what to collect and are responsible for a lawful reason (GDPR and similar). The Actor delivers no comments or commenters and writes only to your own run's storage. Not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
