Reddit keyword search as data: matching posts with velocity, across Reddit or chosen subreddits
The Reddit Search Scraper returns the posts matching your keywords, as Reddit's own search shows a signed-out visitor — across all of Reddit or inside the subreddits you name, in any order and period. Every row carries the title, address, author, subreddit, score, comment count, exact time, the query that found it and what other search scrapers leave out: score and comments per hour. The body text, flair and media come from each result's page with includePostDetails, and the author's karma with includeAuthorInfo. Only-new mode makes it a brand/product/topic monitor.
Who it's for
- Brand and topic monitors tracking mentions across Reddit, with only-new scheduling.
- Market researchers finding which posts on a topic gain traction, by score over time.
- Lead and community finders mapping the subreddits and authors discussing their space.
- Analysts who want velocity and query provenance on every result.

Honest limits
- About 250 results per query — Reddit's own end of a search; split period, subreddits or wording for more.
- A search result is thin — Reddit closed its signed-out JSON API (16 Oct 2026), and a result does not carry the body text, flair, media or kind, so
includePostDetailsreads each result's own page when you want them (one read per result). - Posts only, not comments; scores are fuzzed by Reddit by design.
- A query that matches nothing, repeats another line, or names a private/Premium-only subreddit gets a free status row.
Pricing
Pay per result: one search-result event per delivered row (the author's and subreddit's records ride along free). Status rows are free, filtered-out posts aren't charged, and a run Reddit doesn't answer ends failed and charges nothing. Current prices are on the actor's Pricing tab on Apify.
Monitor Reddit for a keyword: matching posts with votes, comments, exact time and velocity — across Reddit or chosen subreddits. Exportable to JSON, CSV or Excel.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Reddit account, login or API key?
No. It reads Reddit the way its own site does for a signed-out visitor — a guest token, no account, no cookies, no CAPTCHA solving. The token is handed to residential addresses only, so Apify Proxy residential is used by default.
How many results per query?
Reddit ends a search after about 250 results, whatever you ask for. For more, split the period, the subreddits or the wording across several queries.
Can I search inside specific subreddits?
Yes — list them in subreddits; empty means all of Reddit. You can also use Reddit operators in a query, such as title:, author:, self: and nsfw:.
Does it search comments?
No — posts only in this version. A Reddit search result does not carry the body text, flair or media, so includePostDetails reads each result's own page when you need them. For a post's comments use the Reddit Post Comments Scraper.
Is a post delivered twice if several queries match it?
No — a post several queries bring is delivered once, under the first query that found it, and every row names the query that found it.
Using the data lawfully
It reads only what Reddit shows anyone who is not signed in. Rows carry user names (public pseudonyms) and publicly posted text; you are responsible for using them lawfully (GDPR, CCPA, Reddit's User Agreement). Reddit is a trademark of Reddit, Inc.; this Actor is not affiliated with it.
