Crunchbase company intelligence: firmographics, contact and funding signals, no Pro seat
The Crunchbase Company Intelligence Scraper turns a list of company names, domains or Crunchbase URLs into clean records — description, website, employee range, HQ, categories, Crunchbase rank, IPO/operating status, contact email and phone, and funding signals — straight from each company's public Crunchbase profile. It resolves a name, domain or URL to the right entity through Crunchbase's own autocomplete and verifies domains against the real website. No Crunchbase subscription, no API key.
Who it's for
- Sales and RevOps teams pasting contact email, phone, headcount band, HQ and rank into a CRM — without a Pro seat.
- Lead-gen and enrichment pipelines resolving a column of names or domains to the correct company.
- Researchers who need firmographics and funding signals in one row.
- AI agents paying per company over x402.
What you get
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | Name, permalink, Crunchbase URL, description, website, domain |
| Firmographics | Employee range, HQ city/region/country, categories, CB rank, IPO status, operating status |
| Contact | contactEmail, contactPhone, LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter |
| Funding | lastFundingType, lastFundingAt; fundingTotalUsd and foundedOn are paywalled (see limits) |
A real row (logged-out, 2026-10-11): NVIDIA — employeeRange "10001+", ipoStatus "public", cbRank 15, HQ Santa Clara, contactEmail info@nvidia.com, with fundingTotalUsd and foundedOn as null and listed in paywalledFieldsNeedLogin.
Input
| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
companies | Names (Stripe), domains (stripe.com), Crunchbase URLs or permalinks, one per line |
maxResults | Maximum records to deliver (0 = all) |
sessionCookie | Optional — your own Crunchbase session cookie to unlock the two paywalled fields; every other field is free without it |
{ "companies": ["stripe.com", "openai", "https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/nvidia"], "maxResults": 0 }
Honest limits
- Two fields are paywalled — Crunchbase hides the exact total funding and founded date from logged-out sessions, so they come back
nulland flagged inpaywalledFieldsNeedLogin, never fabricated. They unlock only if you supply your own session cookie; everything else is keyless. - Very small or ambiguous companies may not surface via autocomplete — try the domain or the exact Crunchbase URL.
- A company that can't be resolved or that Crunchbase refuses is free, and a run that delivers nothing costs nothing.
Pricing
Pay per event: $0.012 per company delivered, plus a $0.02 Crunchbase-session event charged once per run (it covers clearing the anti-bot challenge every run pays before reading anything). Unresolved or refused companies are free. 25 companies = $0.32; 100 in one run = $1.22 (the same 100 one at a time would be $3.20 — batching pays). Current prices are on the actor's Pricing tab on Apify.
Enrich a company list from Crunchbase: firmographics, contact email and phone, funding signals — resolved to the right entity. Exportable to JSON, CSV or Excel.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Crunchbase subscription or API key?
No. The Actor reads only publicly accessible Crunchbase profile pages — no Crunchbase Pro seat and no API key. It clears Crunchbase's anti-bot challenge itself with a self-hosted hardened browser, no paid unblocking service.
How does it resolve the right company?
It accepts a name, domain, Crunchbase URL or permalink and resolves each through Crunchbase's own autocomplete, then verifies a domain input against the company's real website — so stripe.com returns Stripe, not a look-alike subsidiary.
Why are funding amount and founded date empty?
Crunchbase paywalls the exact total funding and founded date for logged-out sessions, so the Actor returns them as null and lists them in paywalledFieldsNeedLogin rather than fabricating them. Every other field is free; those two can be unlocked with your own session cookie if you need them.
Why batch instead of one at a time?
The anti-bot challenge is cleared once per run and reused for the whole list, and the session fee is charged once, so 100 companies in one run cost about a third of 100 single-company runs.
Why use a domain as input?
Domain inputs are verified against the company's real website, which is the most reliable way to hit the exact entity rather than a similarly-named one.
Using the data lawfully
The Actor reads only publicly accessible Crunchbase profile pages and does not bypass any login or payment wall — paywalled fields stay null unless you supply your own cookie.
