Frequently asked questions

Do I need a login or API key?

No. The Actor searches TMview — the official multi-office register run by EUIPO and 70+ national IP offices — with no login and no key. It uses a residential proxy by default because TMview blocks datacenter IPs.

Which offices are covered?

EUIPO (EM) plus 70+ national registers via the official TMview search. Scope to a subset with offices codes such as EM, DE, FR, GB or WO, or leave it empty for all.

What does each row contain?

The mark name, the applicant (the company or person behind it), application and registration numbers, status, the office it's filed in, Nice classes, filing date, and registration date and mark image where the office provides them, plus a TMview detail link.

Can I search by applicant?

Yes — queries accepts brand words or applicant names, so you can pull all of an applicant's marks across offices or watch new filings near your own brand.

What about US trademarks?

Use a USPTO trademark actor for the US specifically; this covers TMview (EUIPO and national offices). The two share the same applicant-first shape, so their outputs concatenate for a global view.

Using the data lawfully

The Actor reads the official public TMview register. Trademark records are public business information; an applicant can be a named person, so process any personal data with a lawful basis under the GDPR and similar laws. Not affiliated with EUIPO or TMview.
