SEC Form D: who just raised private capital, how much, and who signed
Every company raising money privately in the US files a Form D with the SEC — several hundred land every business day, public and authoritative but as raw XML, one document per deal. The SEC Form D Scraper turns that stream into rows: the issuer (name, HQ, phone, jurisdiction, industry), the offering (amount offered, sold, remaining, security type, first-sale date, investor count) and the related persons — every executive, director and promoter named, with their role and filed title. Straight from SEC EDGAR. No login, no API key.
Who it's for
- Sales teams reaching newly-funded companies while the budget is fresh, with the people named on the filing.
- VC, private-credit and capital-markets coverage building a daily deal feed.
- Researchers listing raises by state and size, or checking a company's filing history.

Honest limits
- Form D only — for public-company financials (10-K/10-Q) or SEC enforcement history, use the separate filings; those aren't Form D.
- About 4 in 10 related persons carry a filed job title — the rest have role only, as the filing states;
minOfferingAmountleaves out filings with an indefinite amount. - Roughly 250 new filings a business day, read live from EDGAR as the SEC publishes them; filtered-out and unreadable filings are never billed.
Pricing
Pay per event: per delivered filing, plus the standard Actor start event. Filtered-out and unreadable filings are never billed, and a run that delivers nothing costs nothing. Current prices are on the actor's Pricing tab on Apify.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Form D and why does it matter?
Every company raising money privately in the US files a Form D with the SEC, usually within 15 days of the first sale. Several hundred land every business day — a public, authoritative, fresh signal that a company just raised and has budget.
Do I need a login or API key?
No. The source is SEC EDGAR — official, public-domain and free, with no key, no login and no anti-bot. The Actor reads EDGAR's full-text search to discover filings and each filing's primary_doc.xml for the detail.
Who signs — do I get decision-makers?
Yes. Every executive, director and promoter named on the filing comes in relatedPersons with their role, and about 4 in 10 also carry a filed job title; signedBy and signerTitle name who signed.
How do I filter?
By filing date (dateFrom/dateTo; default the last 7 days), issuer state and minimum offering amount. Or switch to lookup mode by putting company names or CIK numbers in ciks.
When should I use something else?
For public-company financials (10-K/10-Q) or SEC enforcement history — those are separate filings, not Form D.
Using the data lawfully
EDGAR data is in the public domain and the Actor reads only public filings. Rows name real people in a professional role (officers, directors); process that personal data with a lawful basis under applicable law. Not affiliated with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
